At Wilson and Scott, we’re committed to a sustainable future. We’ve developed a clear action plan to ensure we meet our sustainability goals. The points below highlight the measures we’ve already implemented, as well as those we plan to introduce in the near future.
Why Do We Have Goals?
These sustainability goals are deeply embedded in everything we do and form the foundation of our approach to responsible business. From the way we manage our projects to how we source materials and engage with our communities, we actively work to reduce our environmental impact and promote long-term sustainability. Goals are important as they set clear guildlines of wht we aim to achieve and what already works for us.
Our Goals
Assessment and Planning
- Assess the current carbon footprint associated with highways road markings and establish specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-bound targets for reducing our carbon emissions.
Sustainable Materials and Application Methods
- Use sustainable and low-carbon material, and implement sustainable innovative installation methods.
Operational Efficiency
- Use of energy efficient vehicles and equipment, regularly upgrading and incorporating renewable energy sources e.g solar panels
Innovation and Research
- Invest in research and development to scale up successful initiatives across our operations and continue our sustainability journey.
Carbon Management System
- Implement a carbon management system that complies with the PAS 2080 Standard while also supporting our supply chain partners to implement their own PAS 2080.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Conduct regular internal audits to monitor progress, provide frequent reports on carbon emission.
Training and Awareness
- Provide supporting programs for our people to assist with carbon reduction practices.
