Cameron Simms
Managing Director
Since joining Wilson & Scott in 2009, I have had the privilege of working alongside a truly dedicated and passionate team. Their drive and enthusiasm have been evident from the outset, consistently pushing the boundaries and striving for excellence in everything we do. The collaborative spirit within the company has fostered a culture where innovation and commitment are valued, allowing us to tackle challenges head-on and deliver outstanding results for our clients.

David Moore
Fleet, Logistics & IT Manager
I began my journey with Wilson & Scott in June 1982, joining as a 15-year-old apprentice building road marking equipment. Wilson & Scott is unrecognisable from the company I joined some 45 years ago, growing into the second largest road marking company in the UK. Over the years, I have been involved with 4 company relocations and worked under 3 Managing directors, Project managing 2 of our company moves. Today my current role is Fleet, Logistics & IT Manager, where I oversee our vehicle and plant fleet, streamline logistical processes, and manage our IT infrastructure.

Lee Wheatley
Senior Operations Manager
I joined W&S in April 2011 as Contracts Manager to mobilise the Surrey contract. I already knew Cameron from my time working with him at Enterprise, and I clearly remember him saying, “We’re going to grow this business.” That vision really resonated with me. My interview took place in the old offices with Steve Scott and Cameron Simms. I’ll never forget that meeting, it was in a dark room, but something must have gone right because I’m still here all these years later.
Since then, the company has evolved significantly. It’s gone from strength to strength, driven by passionate people who share the same goal: to succeed. It’s been a privilege to be part of that growth and to work alongside a team that’s truly committed to making a difference.

Alex Whittaker
Finance Director
The opportunity to join Wilson & Scott as Financial Controller in February 2024 came from a chance meeting of our MD, Cameron Simms, at gym weight training sessions– not the most orthodox interview process but very welcome. With a background in consultancy and medical devices, the road line marking industry is new for me and I cannot be more pleased to be part of the Wilson & Scott team.
The company’s recent growth is a testament to Wilson & Scott’s innovative approach, strong sense of team and inclusive working environment. The growth has given me the opportunity to take on several interesting projects to help streamline process and add robustness to the accuracy of financial information. I feel very honoured to have been invited to join the board as Finance Director in 2026 and look forward to being part of the company’s continued success.

Nicola Palmer
HR Manager
I joined Wilson & Scott almost ten years ago as an HR Senior Officer, coming from the medical sector into the world of Highways and Construction. This was a big change for me, but one that’s been incredibly rewarding. Since then, we really have grown. HR has evolved right alongside the business, and I’ve had the privilege of building the HR function here from the ground up.
It’s been a fantastic journey, both for Wilson & Scott and for me personally, and I’m proud to support and play an important part in Wilson & Scott’s continued growth and help shape the next chapter of our story.

I joined Wilson & Scott in 2019 as a Commercial Administrator and have since progressed through several roles to my current position as Commercial Manager. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working closely with our clients, site teams, and supply chain partners, helping to deliver projects that balance quality, value, and collaboration.
I’m passionate about the commercial side of the industry and take real satisfaction in finding fair, practical solutions that keep projects moving forward. Wilson & Scott has given me the opportunity to grow both professionally and personally, and I’m proud to be part of a team that combines heritage, expertise, and a genuine commitment to doing things the right way.

Katie Hider
Estimating Manager
I joined Wilson & Scott in 2019 as an Estimating Administrator. Having previously spent three years in the Property Industry, I was at a point in my career where I was looking for a new challenge. Somewhere I could learn, develop, and progress. Since then, I have advanced through several roles, from Estimating Administrator to Estimator, then Estimating Assistant Manager, and now running the department as the Estimating Manager.
I enjoy the challenges each day brings and thrive in the fast-paced environment. Working alongside like-minded colleagues, I value the collaborative approach we take to drive the business forward and bring fresh ideas to the table.
