The Wilson & Scott team proudly took part in this year’s Reading Cancer Research UK Charity Run, not only to support the vital cause, but also to stand beside our colleagues, Neil Gibbs and Kevin Jackson, who are both bravely facing cancer.
Cancer is a challenge no one should face alone. For us, it was deeply important to show our love, strength, and solidarity and to let Neil, Kevin, and their families know that we are with them every step of the way.
This event became more than just a charity run. It was a truly special day for Wilson & Scott, as our team, customers, and partners came together with one shared purpose: to make a difference. Over the course of two months, through the generosity of colleagues, clients, supporting businesses, and friends, we raised an incredible £10,522.00 plus £1,804.25 in Gift Aid. This is an astonishing total that will help fund life-changing research and support for those affected by cancer.
The day itself was filled with a lot of joy, coming together and running for a great cause. It was a very warm sunny day in England making it a challenging run. However the team smashed through it and did an amazing job!
We couldn’t be prouder of the unity, generosity, and compassion shown by everyone involved. Together, we proved that when a community comes together, we can achieve something extraordinary.
